As a family law attorney, mediator, frequent lecturer, and former adjunct professor, I am committed to assisting and educating people about their rights and alternatives when facing a divorce. I have chosen to focus my family law practice on settlement rather than litigation, and to promote peaceful resolutions to conflicts whenever possible. I assist people with difficult property issues, including closely held businesses, tracing non-marital assets, and cashflow analysis. I also assist with child-centered parenting plans that encompass unique family structures. While assisting clients through difficult times, it is vital to stress the importance of making informed decisions, maintaining civility, and looking toward the future. My thirteen years of experieince allows me to assist people effectively in finding balance in their lives and to motivate them to make difficult decisions that will ulitmately lead to positive changes. Regardless of the circumstances in their marriage or which spouse was to blame for the marriage ending, I encourage clients to choose empowerment over helplessness, and use the Collaborative Law model as a vehicle for reaching a more emotionally balanced and fiscally sound outcome for both themselves and their children. During this process, clients ultimately realize the importance of making their own educated decisions–decisions leading to positive changes. Because of my passion for Collaborative Law and the belief that it is the optimal model for resolving family conflict, especially when there are children involved, actively promoting and marketing Collaborative Family Law as an alternative to litigation has become central to my law practice. Because of my commitment, I encourage anyone facing this life transition to contact my office and set up a complimentary consultation in order to meet me and learn more about this alternative approach.
