Rachel’s approach is to work with the parties to reduce conflict and focus on resolutions that benefit everyone involved, especially the children. Rachel will work with you to assess the best path forward for you – financially, legally and personally. As an adoptive and special-needs parent, Rachel is sensitive to the needs of families facing non-traditional challenges, including raising children with special needs, planning for an uncertain future and navigating the process with a disabled spouse. Osband Law & Mediation is also an LGBTQ-friendly firm and has the wonderful clients to show for it!
Rachel brings over a decade of legal experience to her work with you and your family. Since her graduation from Carleton College and Georgetown University Law Center, she has worked across a variety of practice areas and for a wide range of clients, allowing her to bring a broad perspective to each matter. In addition to her private practice, Rachel serves as an Adjunct Professor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law.
Rachel is a member of the Collaborative Law Institute, Cooperative Practice Network, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
Outside of law, Rachel is a proud mom of two amazing boys. In her limited free time (two boys!), she is a member of the Richfield STEM School PTO, a board member of the Hale Page Diamond Lake Community Association, and advocate for children with special needs. She is also an avid book club attendee.
