Technology, Screen Time and Children: What are Divorcing Parents to Do?

This training has been canceled. If you registered and paid for this training, you will be contacted by staff.

In this day-long seminar participants will learn about how electronics and screen time affect children, their families and their brain development. An emphasis will be placed on decision making in divorced or divorcing families. Participants will discuss and learn best practices in regards to screen time and will apply the material learned to divorcing families with children. Lunch is provided.

The Collaborative Experience Training - Day 2

A demonstration of the newest collaborative model, one involving a neutral coach/facilitator through performances of 17 vignettes depicting a full-team collaborative case. The vignettes will give detailed insight into the roles of the neutral coach/facilitator, both attorneys, the neutral child specialist, and the neutral financial professional. It goes without saying that "Joe" and "Barb" present the team with challenging legal, relational, financial, and parenting issues. The performance will be instructive, practical, and hopefully, inspirational. Day 2 is informative for the experienced collaborative practitioner as well as the new collaborative practitioner.

The Collaborative Experience Training

Day 1: Thursday, April 28th, 2016:   

Training on collaborative practice principles and fundamentals, the roles of the professionals on the interdisciplinary team, the paradigm shift, protocols of practice, the road map to resolution, and ethics.

Day 2: Friday, April 29th, 2016:  

A demonstration of the newest collaborative model, one involving a neutral coach/facilitator through performances of 17 vignettes depicting a full-team collaborative case. The vignettes will give detailed insight into the roles of the neutral coach/facilitator, both attorneys, the neutral child specialist, and the neutral financial professional.
