About Collaborative Law

Marcia S. Rowland, JD (Attorney)

Although divorces are never easy, clients going through a divorce need a process that supports and empowers them. I believe clients can make better decisions for themselves than a court is able to do. Using my 25 years of experience, I help guide my clients to reach an outcome that is financially and emotionally best for them and their families. I offer a free 30 minute initial consultation on divorce cases.

General Comments
After 25 years of practice, I am convinced that for most people a collaborative divorce process is the best way to proceed. It is almost always financially and emotionally the least expensive way to divorce and it usually is one of the fastest ways. Going to court is rarely what a party expects or wants it to be. Collaborative law works - even for couples who may not be on speaking terms and/or able to agree on terms before starting the process.
