About Collaborative Law

Christine M. Leick, AAML (Mediator)

On April 1, 1991 - after being a family law attorney for 18 years - I decided to assist all my future clients through the dissolution process without ever going to court again. I have now worked as a mediator for over 14 years, mediating or supervising over 850 cases, in over 3000 mediation sessions. I also was an early collaborative lawyer and handled collaborative cases for several years before devoting myself exclusively to mediation. I have two primary goals in my practice: first, that my mediation clients achieve separation or divorce with a minimum of financial and emotional cost; and second, that their relationship upon completion of the process is no worse, and preferably better, than when they started working with me. While I also mediate parenting cases, I specialize in financial matters. I am known for my prompt, thorough, and accurate mediation session summaries, and for helping my clients to reach agreement on all matters.
