Qualifications for Collaborative Professional Membership
The Collaborative Law Institute invites professionals in the following areas to consider joining our association:
- Minnesota licensed attorneys who are in good standing
- Minnesota licensed mental health professionals, including social workers, psychologists, marriage and family counselors and psychiatrists who are in good standing
- Minnesota licensed financial professionals including certified public accountant (CPA) and certified financial planning practitionaers (CFP�) who are in good standing
- Mediators and other facilitative professionals who are included on the Minnesota State Court Administrator�s roster of qualified neutrals and are in good standing

Application Process
If you meet the criteria to become a member, please complete the following steps to finalize your application process:
- Print out and complete the Collaborative Law Institute application for membership
- Send proof of your professional liability insurance
- Annual dues are $240, prorated quarterly (after April 1: $180, after July 1: $120, after October 1: $60). Please make checks payable to the Collaborative Law Institute. Renewal invoices will be sent by January of each year for $240.

Please understand that the following are expected of all of our members:
- Membership in the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP). If you are not already a member, visit: http://collaborativepractice.com and follow the links through "Become a Member" (Please note you will qualify for the reduced $100.00 fee for group reduced membership).
- Attend four activities related to Collaborative Practice per calendar year
- Attend a minimum of six hours of training each calendar year
- Strive to participate in at least one Collaborative case per calendar year
- Resubmit a brief Affidavit that confirms compliance with the requirements of membership once a year

Benefits to being a Student Member:
Individuals who enroll as Student Members have the opportunity to participate in the trainings and other learning resources that the Collaborative Law Institute offers its members, at the same discounted member rate. Additionally, Student Members may attend committee and regional group meetings. This provides a wonderful experiential learning opportunity for future collaborative professionals!

Qualifications for Student Membership
Student Members must meet the following criteria:
- Have an area of concentration in law
- Be in good standing at their educational institution
- Be sponsored at all times by an active CLI member

Application Process

Benefits to being a Supporting Partner :
Supporting Partners are professionals who are not within the core collaborative professions, but otherwise may provide services that are valuable to the collaborative process. The Supporting Partner has the opportunity to promote themselves in the collaborative community through attending trainings and meetings, becoming members of committees, as well as through space provided on the Members Only page of the CLI website as a supporting partner!

Qualifications for Supporting Partners
Supporting Partners must meet the following criteria:
- Have a current or past CLI Board Member sponsor
- Attend four activities related to collaborative practice per calendar year
- Attend a core collaborative law training event within the first year of membership
- Maintain a minimum of 6 hours of training every two calendar years thereafter

- Print out and complete the Collaborative Law Institute Application for Supporting Partners
- Provide a professional photograph or logo, contact information, up to approximately 100 words regarding your services to the CLI administrative office (attach all to an email and send to cli@collaborativelaw.org)
- Annual dues are $240, prorated quarterly (after April 1: $180, after July 1: $120, after October 1: $60). Please make checks payable to the Collaborative Law Institute. Renewal invoices will be sent by January of each year for $240.
