About Collaborative Law

Committees

Public Education

Goal: To double the number of collaborative law cases annually through a process of education of the public and professional committees. The committee focuses on achieving this goal through increasing public awareness via Outreach and Media Relations.

Membership

Goal: To increase active membership by 100% per year during the plan.
Chairs: Brad Frago and Holly Lundquist

Training/MN CLE

Goal: To engage the Collaborative Law Members and other professionals in a life- long learning process that promotes a shift of mind set and equips all professionals with special skills so that settlement occurs and healing begins.
Co-Chairs: Tonda Mattie and Ben Gisselman

Expanding Collaborative Practice

Goal: To establish a program through which unrepresented low income parties may receive services in collaborative practice process.
Co-Chairs: Kemi Rampi and Deb Clemmensen

Quality Assurance

Goal: To provide Collaborative Professionals and their clients with various tools to assure the quality of collaborative practice.
Chairs: Jim Gurovitsch (Linda Wray – Liason to Board)

Annual Meeting

Goal: To build the Collaborative Law Institute community through informing the membership of the accomplishments of the Institute as well as to inspire and educate the members to rise to higher levels of collaborative practice.

Task Force

Team Practice

Goal: To continue to develop and refine the Team Practice model in Minnesota through education and utilizing developed and available resources.
Co-Chairs: Stephanie Tschida and Louise Livesay

Legislative

Goal: To ensure the enactment of the UCLA in Minnesota and to work with the bar and legislature to ensure the family law code is supportive of Collaborative Practice.
Chairs: Linda Wray And Audra Holbeck

Domestic Abuse

Goal: To develop the best practices for domestic abuse cases in Collaborative Practice.
Co-Chairs: Janet Eaton and Pat Rogers



MHP / Mediator

Chairs: Pat Rogers and Linda Wray



Website

Goal: To continue to update and enhance local website.
Co-Chairs: Shannon Helland and Colleen Harris-Pearsony



Organizational Capacity

Goal: To continue to build systems and efficiencies for the internal structure of the institute.
Chair: Amy Wolff
